Our
mission, in the area of substance abuse, is to reach students and
families that suffer from drug/alcohol addiction, with Christ centered
curriculum and support. We offer on-site recovery classes that are
12-Step based. A great deal of our educational material comes from the
leading addiction specialists in the country, Hazelden. They have a
number of inpatient and out patient drug/alcohol facilities around the
US. The workbooks and videos they offer have been put together by top
experts in the field.
We
encourage students to be honest about their experience with
drugs/alcohol and hold their information in the strictest of
confidence. EA staff operates as a team to deliver nothing but the best
services to our students. The recovery classes and groups are designed
to help students give one another much needed peer support to help set
in place a network of recovery. Students are encouraged to express how
they really feel without being judged so that honest supportive
relationships can be forged.
Our goal is to see students gain success in overcoming their
addictions, so they can realize not just their dream of graduating HS,
but so they can reach for the dreams they’ve yet to dream, and live in
hope of seeing them come true.
