Graduation Requirements

The State Board of Education in Washington requires a minimum of 19 credits in the following subjects in order to receive a high school diploma:

Math (2 credits)
Science (2 credits)
English(3 credits)
Physical Ed. (2 credits)
World History (1 credit)
US History (1 credits)
WA State History (0.5 credits)
Electives (5.5 credits)
Occupational Ed. (1 credit)
Fine Arts (1 credit)


In addition Eastside Academy maintains the following graduation requirements:

1. Meet one of the following criteria:

      a. Have been enrolled in and attended high school for a total of four years

      b. Place into college level Math, English, and Reading on the Compass Test
2. Complete and pass the Senior English class or equivalent
3. Complete the online application for Federal Financial Aid
4. Complete an application to a college of their choice and be accepted
5. Complete all entrance testing for college admissions
6. Complete a Senior biography
7. Complete a Senior exit interview with EA staff.
